The final day before the new NFL league year was an eventful one, with teams all over the league continuing to shape their rosters ahead of the NFL Draft. Here is a round-up of the interesting moves and rumours from around the league.


Lawrence Timmons To Visit Miami

Pittsburgh Steelers Linebacker Lawrence Timmons has spent his entire 10-year career in the Steel City, but will visit Miami when free agency opens tomorrow. Timmons has spent his entire career with the Steelers, but could be on his way to a Miami team in desperate need of linebacking help.


Chargers Interested In Okung 

The Los Angeles Chargers are strongly pursuing offensive tackle Russell Okung. Kung spent last season with the Denver Broncos, but could be staying in the AFC West next season.


Kyle Shanahan Starts Building Offense 

Marquise Goodwin is on his way to Santa Clara from the Buffalo Bills. Goodwin is a Kyle Shanahan type player like the ones he had in Atlanta, and could fit in well.


Jaguars Expected To Get Barry Church 

The Jacksonville Jaguars added to an already talented defense by signing Dallas safety Barry Church. The deal is expected to be worth around six million dollars a year.


Brian Hoyer To The 49ers

Brian Hoyer will join Kyle Shanahan’s rebuild with the 49ers. Hoyer and Shanahan worked together in 2014 with the Cleveland Browns, and actually found some success in the early parts of the season. Hoyer should serve as a bridge in 2017 to whoever the long term answer under center is for the 49ers.


Patrick DiMarco Joins Buffalo

Fullback Patrick DiMarco will sign for the Buffalo Bills on four-year deal with 8.5 million dollars total. DiMarco was a huge part of Atlanta’s record breaking 2016 offense, and should be a huge aid to LeSean McCoy in the Buffalo running game.


Dumervil Released 

Baltimore Ravens pass rusher Elvis Dumervil has been released. Dumervil has 99 sacks over his 11 season career, but his numbers have decreased over the last two seasons as he is getting past his prime.


Tony Romo released 

Tony Romo has been released by the Dallas Cowboys after a long stint in Texas. Romo will be hotly pursued by teams in need of a quarterback, with the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos emerging as possible favorites for him.


Tyrod Taylor Staying In Buffalo 

Tyrod Taylor has re-signed with the Buffalo Bills, meaning they are officially out of the market for a quarterback. The duel threat quarterback is getting his contract re-structured, keeping him with the team after an offseason full of speculation.


Patriots And Colts Swing Deal 

The New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts made a trade today, with the Colts sending tight end Dwayne Allen to the reigning champions in exchange for a fourth and a sixth round draft pick. Allen had 406 receiving yards and six touchdown receptions from Andrew Luck last season.


Chandler Jones Is Getting A PayDay 

Chandler Jones has a lot of money coming his way. The franchise-tagged edge rusher for the Arizona Cardinals is getting a new five year deal. The terms of the contract are unknown, but it expected to be a huge deal for this quarterback destructor.
